Asia Pacific Law is a boutique law firm based in Northern California founded in 2019 by David Case.
After spending more than 20 years in “Big Law”, including as a partner at White & Case LLP and Orrick LLP
practicing in New York City and Tokyo, Japan, David formed Asia Pacific Law to have more
flexibility counseling and acting for clients when and where they need assistance.
Asia Pacific Law is a relationship-driven firm. We work closely with clients to understand, appreciate and
anticipate their legal needs and challenges so as to provide practical and efficient solutions.
Asia Pacific Law primarily advises and assists clients in Japan and the U.S. with their intellectual
property, commercial transactions, venture capital and dispute related needs.
Prior to returning to the U.S. in 2019, David lived in Tokyo for most of his adult life working in sales
and then as a practicing as an admitted foreign attorney. David is fluent speaking and reading
Japanese and deeply understands Japanese business practices and social customs.
As a result, David combines an in-depth knowledge of U.S. and Japanese legal systems with an exceptional
understanding of cultural differences between the West and Japan and unique client needs.
